November 15 Join Global Actions Against U.S.-Israeli War on Iran

Call from Women of Iran and Afghanistan

November 4, 2026

To IEC community and all justice loving people worldwide,

We welcome the urgent CALL initiated by OSYAN, a group of rebellious women from Iran and Afghanistan, for global protests on November 15, available in English, Farsi and Spanish.

On Monday, the eve of the midterms, the U.S. bombed Iran's Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. No "blue wave" ever stopped a U.S. war, nor a genocide. It's up to us.

As the call says,

“…our shared message is clear: Stop the war of aggression against Iran! Our opposition to war does not mean support for the Islamic Republic. We stand for the lives, safety, and right to self-determination of the people of Iran….”

We urge you to act in the interest of Iran’s political prisoners and its 90+ million civilian population, against the atrocities already committed against them, and more threatened daily. We ask that you use your platform —especially as organizations, be they religious, political, cultural, or academic— to publicize and organize in actions big and small, from solidarity statements, vigils, or panels to street protests.

Refuse to wait passively for more war crimes by the U.S. and Israel threatening the people of Iran, the region and world as war drums get louder on all sides. Refuse to accept the false and paralyzing binary that opposing the imperialist and Zionist brutal war and threats means supporting Iran’s regime that imprisons, tortures and executes its dissidents.

The below CALL initiated by Osyan, has now been endorsed by many others. Message the organizers on Instagram about any statement or plans you have around November 15 (and please send a copy to the IEC through our IG or email).

A Call for Joint Action Against War and Attacks on Iran

In recent days, the United States and Israel have escalated their threats of a new round of more intense and destructive attacks on Iran. With increased activity at US bases in the region and the approaching US midterm elections, we know these are not merely threats: the likelihood of another criminal and even deadlier attack on the people of Iran is very high.

We refuse to stand by and watch as the world’s nuclear powers threaten and attack our people and our country. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic has threatened to respond to any attack by the United States and Israel with an immediate and effective response, without geographical limits. This means we face a far more dangerous phase of war, one that could spread beyond the region and spiral beyond the control of those who unleash it.

In this situation, we choose to act rather than wait and react. We call on everyone opposed to war to organize peaceful demonstrations in cities and countries around the world on November 15. Whether or not an attack has taken place by then, our shared message is clear: Stop the war of aggression against Iran!

Our opposition to war does not mean support for the Islamic Republic. We stand for the lives, safety, and right to self-determination of the people of Iran. Flags, symbols, and slogans supporting the Islamic Republic have no place at these demonstrations.

You can contact us to coordinate a demonstration in your city or organize one entirely independently. You can also send us the time and location of your demonstration so that we can publish it on this page using a shared poster design and help others join. Taking action on the same day makes our collective voice against war stronger.

In every city, with one voice: Stop the war on Iran!

For those living in the U.S., the IEC’s founding position is more relevant than ever at this critical hour:

The governments of the U.S. and Iran act from their national interests. And, in this instance, we the people of the U.S. and Iran, along with the people of the world, have OUR shared interests, as part of getting to a better world: to unite to defend the political prisoners (and people) of Iran. In the U.S., we have a special responsibility to unite very broadly against this vile repression by the IRI, and to actively oppose any war moves by the U.S. government that would bring even more unbearable suffering to the people of Iran.
